Biography

Dr. Juhi Lohani Harjani is an Assistant Professor of Economics at O.P. Jindal Global University. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi and a Master's degree in Economics from Delhi School of Economics. Prior to joining Jindal, she has taught Economics at University of Delhi and Statistics at Indian School of Business and Finance (ISBF). She has also worked as a Research Analyst at Institute of Economic Growth.

Her research interests span macroeconomics, econometrics, development economics, monetary economics and international trade. Her work focuses on inflation dynamics, price-setting behaviour, monetary policy, and issues related to economic development in emerging economies. Combining rigorous empirical methods with policy-oriented research, she seeks to generate insights that contribute to both academic scholarship and evidence-based policymaking.

Dr. Harjani has published her research in reputed peer-reviewed journals. Her publications examine topics such as inflation targeting and price behaviour in India, outward foreign direct investment by Indian manufacturing firms, trade liberalization and employment, and economic measurement techniques. Her recent research also extends to interdisciplinary areas, including the adoption of artificial intelligence in the food service industry. She has also presented her research at several international conferences, engaging with scholars and policymakers from around the world.

With extensive experience in teaching, research, and academic administration, Dr. Harjani is committed to fostering analytical thinking, research excellence, and student engagement. She believes in connecting economic theory with contemporary policy challenges and real-world applications, creating an intellectually stimulating and inclusive learning environment for her students.
