Biography

My name is Chetna Chandel, and for the past seven years, I’ve had the joy of teaching law ,something that has grown from a profession into a true passion. For the last six years, I’ve been part of the academic family at Jindal Global Law School, where I teach Contract Law and Company Law, focusing particularly on topics like M&A, VC, Corporate governance and contract law . I love bringing these subjects to life in the classroom, connecting legal theory with real-world stories and challenges.

Before stepping into academics, I spent three meaningful years in the legal industry, working with DPSA Legal and Bharucha & Partners, where I was actively involved in corporate litigation. That experience gave me a strong foundation in how the law actually works on the ground, and it continues to shape how I teach and research today.

I also had the enriching opportunity to work as a Research Assistant to Professor Marco Ventoruzzo, a leading voice in comparative corporate law. That experience deepened my appreciation for scholarly research and broadened my international perspective My research interests are broad and ever-evolving—from the structure and impact of corporate governance to the finer details hidden within contractual clauses. I’m constantly curious, always learning, and deeply committed to sharing that journey with my students and peers.

At heart, I believe law isn’t just about rules—it’s about people, decisions, and the stories we read. That belief drives everything I do in the classroom and beyond.
