Arshia Sana holds a Bachelors in Law from Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia National Law University, Lucknow and Masters in Law from Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur and University of Westminster, London. While doing LLM in Intellectual Property Rights Law from HNLU she passed NET (December 2018). She holds a gold medal in her post-graduation thesis at HNLU.

Then she went on to study International Law from University of Westminster where she studied a variety of courses like Public International Law, International Human Rights Law, United Nations Law, Peaceful Settlement of International Disputes and International Law and Development, to name a few. During her Masters she was a part of the Legal Advice Project in collaboration with Centre for Women’s Justice and Rape Crisis London. This project sought to provide legal aid to women subjected to sexual violence. She also attended some of the eminent conferences at British Institute of International and Comparative Law (BIICL) which enriched her knowledge on the subject.

Her areas of interest include Public International Law, human rights law, Constitutional Law and political criticism and is inclined to conduct her doctoral research on the intersectionality of law and development.

During her undergraduate days she has interned under reputed legal professionals like Advocate Gopal S. Chaturvedi (Senior Advocate, Allahabad High Court) and Advocate Fuzail Ahmed Ayyubi (Advocate-on-record, Supreme Court of India). As a keen social worker and public speaker, she has volunteered with various NGOs like ‘Ehsaas’, ‘Stree’, Goonj’ and ICLU for the upliftment of women, children and other weaker sections of the society.

In her freetime Arshia loves cooking and doing poetry. She also holds various medals in poetry.
