Biography

Arshia Sana is a dedicated Lecturer in Law with a specialized focus on International Law and International Human Rights Law. She cleared UGC-NET in 2019. Her research delves into the intricate interplay of minority rights within the broader framework of international human rights law.

With a solid academic foundation, Prof. Sana holds a BALLB from Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia National Law University, an LLM from Hidayatullah National Law University, and an LLM from the University of Westminster. Her professional journey has been marked by her contributions as a lecturer and a research fellow at the Center for Study of the United Nations. 

Prof. Sana’s scholarly pursuits have led to notable contributions, including her co-authored article, “Will a UCC address or exacerbate gender justice for India’s Muslim Women?” published in the Manchester Journal of Transnational Islamic Law and Practice. Additionally, her conference papers on “Women-led Protests in India: A study with reference to anti-CAA Shaheen Bagh Movement” at the Max Planck Institute, Heidelberg, “Virtual Criminal Justice System in India” at Lund University, Sweden and “Customising the Western Concept of Hate Crime for India” at Academic Council of the United Nations (ACUNS), Tokyo have further enriched her academic profile. Her research on "Studying Hate crime in India underpinning International Human Rights Law" underscores her commitment to examining contemporary legal challenges.

As a member of the ACUNS, Prof. Sana is actively engaged in fostering academic collaborations and contributing to the broader intellectual community. She aims to do her PhD in International Human Rights Law and holds offers of study from prestigious universities in the UK.
