Biography

Apoorva Satapathy is an Assistant Professor of Law at Jindal Global Law School. She specialises in international environmental law with specific focus on international biodiversity law and climate law, Earth Law Jurisprudence, and environmental procedure. Her research aims at studying the jurisprudential shift of the law and the consequent ripples across the international environmental law framework.

Apoorva pursued her B.B.A. LL.B (Hons.), NLU, Odisha, followed by Master of Laws, with an International Law specialisation, from University of Cambridge.

Apoorva had been a Rapporteur in the pre-COP26 Conference on Climate Change, the SDGs, and the Law organised by The Climate Law and Governance Initiative at University of Cambridge. This involvement was a highly contributing factor in her eventual pursuit of climate and biodiversity research.
