LL.M in Access to Justice Tata Institute of Social Sciences
Akshata Ahire (she/her) earned her Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Ramnarian Ruia College of Science and Arts, Mumbai, and her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Mumbai. She further advanced her studies with a master’s degree in Access to Justice from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai.
Akshata’s professional journey began with significant experience in litigation in handling pro-bono cases. These experiences solidified her focus on the rights of marginalized community, focusing on marginalised women’s rights.
At Jindal Global Law School, Akshata holds a position as Lecturer and as a Senior Research Assistant at the Centre for Women’s Rights. Her teaching and research are centred on the intersection of gender, caste, and law. She is also pursuing a Master’s in Gender and Development Studies from IGNOU, further enriching her expertise in these critical areas.
