Biography

Abhinav Mehrotra is an Assistant Professor and Assistant Director at Jindal Global Law School, O.P. Jindal Global University. He teaches courses on Human Rights and Public International Law to law students. He regularly writes on contemporary significant issues and has been published on various reputed platforms nationally and internationally. He has attended various national and international conferences on International Law and Human Rights Law. In the past, he has worked as a Law clerk-cum-Research Assistant under Justice Rajiv Sahai Endlaw in the Delhi High Court. He also has experience working as a researcher with the People’s Union for Civil Liberties (PUCL), Jaipur, where he was involved with issues related to the right to education, prison reforms and homelessness.

He completed his Masters in Law (2018-2019) specializing in International Human Rights Law from the University of Leeds and his Bachelors in Law (LL.B.) from Jindal Global Law School, OP Jindal Global University in 2018. During his LL.M. programme, he was appointed as School Representative for the School of Law, University of Leeds. 

His research interests include International Law, Human Rights Law, UN studies, Refugee law, Child Rights and Transitional Justice. Besides academics, he enjoys playing cricket and has represented Rajasthan State Cricket Team at under 16 and under 19 levels.
