Dr. Sarni Jain is a passionate Researcher and Teacher by Profession. She completed her Bachelor of Arts (B.A) , Master of Arts in Economics (M.A Economics), Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from University of Jammu and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from O.P Jindal Global University. Her Doctoral Research is in the area of Behavioural Economics, that integrates risk perception and psychological factors to examine the investment decisions of Indian investors. She is the recipient of the award for Best PhD scholar of O.P Jindal Global University in 2018. During her PhD tenure, she also introduced an elective course titled Behavioural Economics for the first time in O.P Jindal Global University in the year 2019. As a part of her responsibilities at Jindal, she will be offering courses on Economics. Her current research interests include judgement and decision making, emotions and economic behaviour, experimental economics and behavioural economics. She is currently working on article that explains the importance of incorporating emotions in economic decision making. She has been an active learner in National workshops on Research Methodologies and Software Applications. She has presented her work in many national and international conferences where she has been highly appreciated. Apart from her academic interest she also focuses on improving quality of life through sports and meditation.
