Dr. S. Mercy Deborah

Dr. Deborah is an Professor at Jindal Global Law School (JGLS). She did her graduation reading in History and Law from the University of Delhi, and obtained her Masters in Law as a student of Merit Scholarship from the Indian Law Institute, New Delhi specialising in Criminal Law. She completed her doctoral studies from National Law University Delhi (NLUD). Her doctoral thesis enquires into the rights of human subjects involved in the medical research in India. Her areas of research and teaching include family law, criminal law, consumer law, health law, pharmaceutical regulation, and technology law. Prior to joining the academia, she worked as an Associate at the Law Office of the Additional Solicitor General of India, High Court of Delhi and later practiced in the City Civil Courts of Delhi.
