Dr. Khushboo Chauhan holds a doctoral (2018) and a M. Phil. Degree (2013) from the Centre for the Study of Law and Governance (CSLG), Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, where she worked in the area of Law and Governance. Her doctoral thesis concentrated on genocide studies and studied genocide through the conjoint lenses of law, politics and history by examining the discrepancy between international law, international politics and history in relation to the issue of genocide from the Holocaust onwards. On the other hand, her M. Phil dissertation focussed on local governance, civil society and rural health.

Khushboo further completed her LL.M. degree (2010) in International law and LL.B. degree (2007) from Himachal Pradesh University (HPU), Shimla. Her postgraduate dissertation focussed on the role of the International Court of Justice in the development of the Law of the Seas. She has also earned a B.A. degree (2004) in Political Science and Psychology from St. Bede’s College, Shimla.

Khushboo has participated in numerous conferences both abroad and in India. She is currently a member of many international academic organisations. She also has a number of publications to her credit. She has been teaching since May 2018 and has taught in various law schools in Bangalore previously. Her broad areas of research interests include Genocide Studies, Holocaust Studies, International Law, International Organisations, Human rights, International politics, Public Policy and Governance.
