Anusha Thotakura holds an LL.M. degree from University of California, Berkeley and BA LL.B. degree from O.P. Jindal Global University. Anusha worked as a Research Associate and Research Fellow at Center for Justice, Law, and Society (CJLS) at O.P. Jindal Global University. At CJLS, she worked on issues related to sexual and reproductive health and rights, anti-carceral politics, gender and sexuality, and disability justice.

During her LL.M. at UC Berkeley, Anusha received the Irving Tragen Law School Fellowship and Logan Scholarship. She also worked as a Program Assistant at the Center for Intercultural Leadership and Programs during her LL.M.

During her time at JGU, she co-founded a society for disability inclusion, worked with the Disability rights clinic and served as the student representative of the Disability Support Committee. She received the Dean’s awards for Outstanding Leadership and Outstanding Contribution to Social Service/ Community Engagement.

Her research interest lies in disability justice, human rights, anti-carceral politics, labour rights, and gender and sexuality.
