Animesh currently holds the position of Assistant Professor of Law and serves as Assistant Director (CPGLS) at Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) in India. He earned his LL.M. degree with a specialization in International Arbitration & Dispute Resolution from the National University of Singapore and holds a B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) Degree from the National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam.

In the past, he has worked with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Government of Assam in a joint project for strategizing poverty reduction programmes in the State of Assam. Prior to his role in academia, Animesh worked in the Gauhati High Court and in the District & Sessions courts of Assam.

Animesh’s primary research focuses on International Arbitration and Sports law. Apart from this, he also serves on the Editorial Boards of several reputed law reviews.

During his undergraduate studies, he was an avid debater and also led the North Eastern Chapter of IDIA (Increasing Diversity by Increasing Access). Beyond academia, Animesh hosts ‘The Chicken Neck Podcast,’ North East India’s first and only policy-based podcast, which was recently featured in Newslaundry’s ‘Media Rumble.’
