Akanksha graduated from Jindal Global Law School in 2021. During her time at JGLS she was actively involved in research and writing and has published various papers on intellectual property law issues concerning areas of compulsory statutory licensing regime under Indian copyright law and intermediary liability laws in India.

She subsequently completed her LLM in Intellectual Property and Information Law from King’s College London. During her time at King’s, she authored a thesis on ‘The Impact of Audio Deepfakes on the Music Industry: A Copyright Law Perspective.’

Her academic and research interests include copyright laws and their interaction with creative industries, trademark laws and competition, data privacy laws, and regulation of AI.
In addition to this, she has also successfully completed a distance learning course from WIPO on trademarks, industrial designs and geographical indications.

Besides her academic interests, she is a trained classical dancer and enjoys travelling.
