A project with the support of the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union. It is a teaching position for a university professor specializing in European Studies for a duration of 3 years.
About Jean Monnet
Jean Monnet, was a French political and economic advisor. His contribution towards the unification of Europe was second to none. Alongside Robert Schuman, the then French foreign minister, he worked on the Schuman Plan (1950). He is thus referred to as "The Father of European Union".
Jean Monnet Chair at JGU
Prof. (Dr.) Indranath Gupta is a Professor at the Jindal Global Law School, Dean of Research & Controller of Examinations at OPJGU. Prof. Gupta was earlier appointed as the research collaborator by the Università Bocconi, Milan, Italy, for a project funded by the European Commission under the 7th Framework Programme.
Planned Activities
JGU Jean Monnet Chair will contribute towards strengthening, deliberating and implementing EU studies, and in particular EU Data Protection Framework, by creating a specialized project with the overall objective of institutionalizing it within the multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary academic framework of the JGU.
