Biography

Dr Sasi Sekhar Mallampalli is an English language educator with over twenty-three years of rich and varied teaching experience. He holds a Doctorate (PhD) in English from Uttaranchal University and a Master of Arts (M.A.) in English Language and Literature from Andhra University. He also has a Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA) and Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT) certifications from the University of Cambridge. He brings a wealth of expertise and skills in high-quality instruction and training. Over the years, he has taught at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including a rewarding three-year overseas stint in Kurdistan and Uzbekistan. His areas of specialisation includes English Language Training/Teaching (ELT), English as a Second Language (ESL), Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) and English for Specific Purposes (ESP).

Dr Mallampalli is a teacher and active researcher. He has eight publications to his credit, five indexed in Scopus. His research focuses on various language learning and teaching aspects, including Writing Skills at Secondary and tertiary Levels, Mobile- Assisted Language Learning (MALL) and Teaching with Technologies.

Dr Mallampalli believes in engaging students actively. He maximises student talk time and minimises his own, ensuring that students are involved in their learning process. He follows the saying, Tell me, and I forget. Teach me, and I remember. Involve me, and I learn. He uses task-based activities to spark students’ imagination and interest both inside and outside the classroom.
