Biography

Nupur Samuel is an Associate Professor at the Centre for Writing Studies, O P Jindal Global University, Sonipat. Nupur has been teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) and writing at the tertiary level for over 15 years. Her research interests include writing pedagogy, writing and technology, inclusive education, critical thinking, English language assessment, gender in higher education, and teacher education. Her doctoral work on the Dynamic Assessment of Writing of Undergraduate ESL students explored the dialectic nature of assessment and teaching. Nupur was a Visiting Fellow at the Centre for Teaching and Learning Research, Sussex University, U.K. (2019). She is an alumna of the International Visitor Leadership Program (2013) of the U.S. Department of State’s premier professional exchange programme. Nupur has published in international academic journals and blogs, including co-editing a book, ‘Leading change in gender and diversity in higher education from margins to mainstream.’ Routledge. https://doi.org/10.4324/9781003286943
