Biography

Dr. Navreeti Sharma is an Associate Professor of French at O.P. Jindal Global University. With over nineteen years of experience, she has taught French at University of Delhi-affiliated colleges and prominent management institutes. Her teaching expertise covers a wide spectrum, from beginner to advanced French language courses, French Culture and Civilization, Francophone Studies, Analysis of Literary Texts, French for Tourism and Hospitality, French for Management and Business. She has also developed French language learning modules for both short-term and long-term programs. Dr. Sharma holds M. Phil and Ph.D. degrees in French Studies from the University of Delhi. Her commitment to research has been supported by prestigious scholarships that allowed her to pursue advanced studies and faculty development programs in India & France at the University Paul-Valéry Montpellier 3 and the BELC summer school in Nantes. Her research & interests focus on Francophone Postcolonial Studies, Subaltern Studies, Translation, Language Teaching and Learning. 

She has presented her works at various conferences and has published in reputed journals, including contributions “testimonies” to Springer publications. She is the author of the French language textbook, Ah Bon! J’écris en français (Compréhension et Production Écrites) A1/A2. She is also a reviewer at the university’s Jindal Centre for the Global South. Beyond her academic roles, Dr. Sharma has worked as a consecutive interpreter for international programs and has served as a judge for various French cultural events in higher education institutions and schools. She has also organized and led numerous French language and culture workshops for learners of all levels. As the coordinator for the French Space at JGU in collaboration with the French Institute in India she has facilitated a diverse range of cultural and academic activities. In addition, she is a Member & Facilitator at the University's Centre for Learning and Innovative Pedagogy.
