Deepika Teckchandani is a lecturer of Spanish language and culture and Assistant Director of the Centre for Foreign Languages at O. P Jindal Global University. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Hispanic Studies from Delhi University. Her research focusses on comic strips as sites of resistance against dominant ideology and precarious portrayal of common man in the neoliberal era in Argentina. Her areas of interest are graphic narrative, Latin American popular culture and literature. She has over ten years of experience in teaching Spanish language and culture at University of Delhi. She has presented her research at international conferences in Spain, Berlin, and Delhi and has published her research in renowned journals.
She received the prestigious International Research Training Group (IRTG) scholarship from Free University of Berlin in 2013. She was a JRF Fellow during her graduate work and a Gold Medalist during her undergraduate and postgraduate studies at Delhi University.
