The Constitution of India is the collective consciousness of the people of India. It is timeless, that which has the past, the present, and the future of India.
The Constitution is our past: Hear it; it tells the tale of our reality-making—our self-becoming from being the "subject" onto the "citizen". It is an account of our self-ordering, of our struggle in which the truth defeated falsehood. It is the ballad of the heroism of our bygone generation which gifted us the fortune of freedom. Shall we not hear that tale and get awoken and arisen by it?
The Constitution is our present: Feel it; it lives by pulsating within us. It has the reality of our social existence—the gospel of freedom and the weltanschauungs of social life. It is our hope against injustice, inequities and indifferences. It lifts us against failures, liberates us against oppression, and fights against exploitation. The wisdom of the Constitution is the truth of the present. Shall we not feel it gratefully, hopefully, admiringly?
The Constitution is our future: Meditate on it, the Ultimate Truth. It is the truth of egalitarianism, which is the enlightenment we seek. The Constitution is the prayer that can open universes of possibilities before us. It is a spiritual master who teaches the art of human flourishing. Shall we not submit to its prudence to behold the infinite possibilities of human socialising?
