He has worked as a Research Associate for the NIMHANS – ICSSR Project title ‘Covid-19 Impact on Rural School Children’, Psychiatric social worker and Junior consultant in adult psychiatry and community mental health settings, Programme Manager for the NIMHANS-Every Child India project of ‘Psychosocial care for children in difficult circumstances through South Indian NGOs’, Program officer for the NIMHANS – CARE INDIA project title ‘Psychosocial Support for Survivors of Tsunami Disaster’. He has been involved in teaching for the undergraduate, post-graduation, and M.Phil. Scholars at NIMHANS.

His doctoral research has examined ‘Psychiatric Social Work Interventions for Treatment Non-Adherent Persons with Mental Illness in Sakalwara Community Mental Health Center’.

He has nearly 15 years of experience in practice, teaching, and research continuum in the mental health and psychiatric social work subjects. He has worked with diverse communities with individuals, groups, families, and organizations in the field of mental health services. He has been involved as a resource person for more than 100 capacity-building programs related to mental health care and psychosocial support services.
