Biography

Dr. Ambika Dutta is an Assistant Professor of Psychology whose teaching, research, and professional practice are centered on advancing psychological well-being through evidence-based education, interdisciplinary research, and innovation. She holds a Ph.D. in Psychology from Panjab University, with research focusing on Helicopter Parenting and its Psychological Correlates among college students. A Gold Medalist in Applied Psychology and a UGC-NET qualified academic, Dr. Dutta brings over a decade of experience spanning higher education, school psychology, counselling, and academic administration.

Her academic interests encompass Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology, Social Psychology, Positive Psychology, and the emerging intersection of Artificial Intelligence and Human Behaviour. She has taught undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral students while actively contributing to curriculum development, quality assurance, research mentoring, and institutional development. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, she has served in several academic leadership roles, including Program Coordinator, IQAC Coordinator, Board of Studies Coordinator, International Relations Coordinator, Learning Management System Coordinator, and Psychology Lab Coordinator.

Dr. Dutta has authored numerous publications in national and international journals and has presented her research at prestigious conferences across India. Her scholarly work explores Parenting, Mental Health, Emotional Regulation, Digital Behaviour, and AI-enabled Psychological Applications. She is also the recipient of two patents related to AI-driven behavioural feedback and neurofeedback systems, reflecting her commitment to integrating technology with psychological science.

A Certified Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT) Practitioner and Mindfulness Practitioner, Dr. Dutta combines academic excellence with practical expertise to promote mental health awareness, holistic student development, and research-driven learning. She remains committed to fostering critical thinking, ethical practice, and innovation while preparing students to address contemporary psychological and societal challenges.
