Biography

Dr. Kamna Yadav is a licensed Clinical Psychologist and educator. She is a residence of Delhi and pursued her graduation from University of Delhi and post-graduation from Pune University, followed by M. Phil in Clinical Psychology from IHBAS and doctoral degree from University of Delhi. Her doctoral degree focused on providing third-wave psychotherapies to individuals with carcinoma adapting randomized control trail methodology. She has been awarded University Grant Commission-National Eligibility Test. She is certified in graphology from Graphology Institute of India and in hypnotherapy from California Hypnosis Institute of India. Apart from her interest in academics, she also has a strong inclination towards sports field since the age of 8 years. Since then she has participated and won marathon competitions and various national level competitions in the field of athletics. She has also served as hockey team captain at college. She still continues to integrate running, yoga and physical exercise as an important part of her life. 

Clinical Experience

She has been practicing and catering to the needs of clinical and non-clinical population across age groups for more than 10 years. She has dispensed her clinical skills by providing psychotherapy and psychological assessment at outpatient and inpatient department of various clinics and hospital set-ups. She has also worked with various organizations including Center for Child & Adolescence, Psychiatric and de-addiction center, ePsyclinic.com, Untangle, and has been on advisory board with You’re Wonderful Project. She has headed and supervised a team of project associates, counseling and clinical psychologist. She has been an active member of Indian Association of Clinical Psychologist and registered with Rehabilitation Center of India (RCI). 

Research Experience

Her doctoral degree was the very first four-armed randomized controlled trial on Indian carcinoma population focusing on the effects of third generation psychotherapy on psychological health. She has translated and validated Fear of Cancer Recurrence Inventory (FCRI) in Hindi as part of her doctoral degree. She has also worked as a research associate in a WHO project focusing on the development of depression scale in Hindi language. She has worked on development of an application across life-span for psychological well-being. She has presented her work at numerous national and international conferences. She has written blogs, articles and has been invited for conducting workshops, webinars and talks to generate awareness about psychological health and well-being. She has successfully conducted workshop at Friedrich Naumann Foundation on work-life balance for employees across the globe; Shaheed Rajguru College of Applied Sciences for Women, University of Delhi on Mindfulness: A Step towards Positivity and Expressive Arts Therapy for graduate students. She has also conducted various training programs for budding psychologists on psychological assessments and psychotherapy. 

Teaching and Administrative Experience

Prior to JGU, she worked as an Assistant Professor and Program head at IILM University, Gurugram. As an educator she has taught graduate and post-graduate students and supervised dissertation on impact of mindfulness on the psychological well-being of teachers, child-abuse as a predisposition for complex post-traumatic disorder. She has taught various clinical courses including Psychopathology across life-span, Psychotherapy, Family Therapy, Mental Health. Further, she has been a mentor and coach, wherein she guided students and prepared them for their careers.
