Dr Bhhavya is B.A. (H) and M.A. Psychology from the University of Delhi, PhD from Defence Institute of Psychological Research (DIPR) DRDO, New Delhi under the aegis of BU, Coimbatore, and is UGC-NET qualified in Psychology.
She is an Assistant Professor at Jindal School of Psychology and Counselling (JSPC) at O.P. Jindal Global University and is responsible for teaching and research at JSPC.
Dr Bhhavya has a teaching experience of about 2 and a half years. Prior to joining OPJGU, she was Assistant Professor and Program Coordinator for M.Sc. in Clinical Psychology at School of Behavioral Forensics, National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) Main Campus, Gandhinagar, Gujarat. During her tenure there, she was engaged in teaching, research and various administrative responsibilities. At NFSU, she taught M.Sc Clinical Psychology & M.Sc Neuro-Psychology. She specifically taught the courses on Positive Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Research Methods and Academic Writing, Qualitative Methods, and Neuropsychological Basis of Behavior. She has also taught research methods at various other institutes. She also actively organised numerous National and International events including webinars and seminars at the NFSU Headquarters.
At NFSU, Dr Bhhavya worked in areas of Positive Psychology, Eyewitness Testimony, Sports Psychology, Military Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Mental Health & Wellbeing and guided around 30 Masters dissertations in these areas. She has previously worked as a Research Fellow with DIPR, DRDO, Ministry of Defence. As a Research Fellow at DIPR, she worked on projects related to Assessment of Mental Workload of Pilots, Development of various Psychological Tests, and Leadership in Armed Forces. Prior to that the DRDO fellowship, she also worked as a Research Assistant at the Centre for Land Warfare Studies (CLAWS), an autonomous think tank of the Ministry of Defence, on Psychological Applications in Armed Forces, where she conducted research on various topical issues in national security and HR practices in Armed Forces. Dr Gahlaut has to her credit quite a few publications in journals of repute and paper presentations at various National and International Conferences.
