Dr. Arti Singh has received her doctoral degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK). Her Ph.D. dissertation investigated the role of illness perception among Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) patients. As a part of her research work, she developed a 13-item scale for measuring the adherence behavior of CAD patients. Her curiosity as a psychologist and a researcher motivated her to examine the well-being of school teachers during Covid-19. She also analyzed the portrayal of the caste stereotypes in mainstream Bollywood cinema. As a researcher, she was also involved with one of the prestigious projects of the Government of India “Re-introduction of Cheetah in India” at Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun. Her current research interest includes understanding the role of media in various health-promoting and health risk behaviors.

She has published several papers in reputed journals and presented her research work at many national and international conferences. Before joining JSPC, Dr. Arti was working as a visiting faculty at the Indian Institute of Information Technology Vadodara, Gujrat. She has also worked with Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi, and Amity University Gururgam, Haryana. At IGNOU, she contributed actively in developing study material for B.A. Psychology courses. During her service at Amity University Gururgam, she taught papers like Sports Psychology, Social Psychology, Life Span Development, and Abnormal Psychology at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
