Dr. Kannu Priya Kamboj completed her doctoral studies at the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (India) in January 2022. Her research focused on the applicability of Job Demand-Resource Theory resulting in Psychological Capital at work. This work also explored the role of ‘Meaningful Work’ in the organizational processes interplaying to contribute to Psychological Capital formation. Her areas of interest are workplace mental health, work and family studies, positive organizational scholarship/behavior, human resource management, entrepreneurial psychology, future of work, educational management, teacher-student dynamics, positive mental health, millennials in India, social and emotional learning and development, and traumatization/trauma studies. As a researcher, she is concerned about the work and family interactions and dynamics, especially for the millennial population in diverse work contexts, and devising mechanisms to help improve the working conditions of different professionals.

Dr. Kamboj pursued her graduate studies at Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai (India), specializing in adult, couple, and family therapy. Followed by the certification in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) Therapy and has over eight years of experience in providing therapy solutions to people with traumatic life experiences. Her thesis at master’s was an ethnographic study focused on the parental socialization practices in Urban slums in India for the emotional and social development of their children. She is also a Delhi University alumna and completed her BA(Hons) in Psychology from Indraprastha College for Women (North Campus, Delhi University). Her bachelor’s thesis work was a mixed-methods study to unravel emerging adults’ friendship stories and relational dynamics. She has published her research work in various journals of international and national repute and has also presented at multiple international conferences in the past.

Dr. Kamboj has worked as a patient care counselor at Medanta – the Medicity, Gurugram, Head – Resilience Centre at Butterflies NGO, New Delhi, and Programme coordinator CHILDLINE (India). After that, she has taught ‘Indigenous Psychologies’ at Delhi University and has worked as a Teaching Assistant at IIT Roorkee. She has been actively providing virtual and face-to-face therapy over the past eight years.
