Lecture organized by Jindal School of Languages and Literature by Ms. Shehnab Sahin who has recently published her debut collection of short stories, for the second iteration of the Jindal School of Languages and Literature Distinguished Lecture Series (JSLLDLS). She has long served as a humanitarian leader in the world's most fragile and war-torn regions. Her newly published collection of short stories Colour My Grave Purple and Other Stories is an anthology of historical fiction from Assam which spans a century of the Northeastern state's colourful past, evoking a vivid journey from the 1850s to the 2000s. Her talk is titled "Carrying Fiction: Pandemic to the Syrian Civil War". She will discuss how her experiences as a humanitarian leader shaped her writing.
