JICA Chair Lecture on the theme "In the Age of Uncertainty: the Role of Japan in the Indo-Pacific"

The Jindal School of International Affairs (JSIA) in collaboration with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to host JICA Chair Lecture on the theme "In the Age of Uncertainty: the Role of Japan in the Indo-Pacific".  The world order is in flux, and one reason is because big powers such as Russia, China and the U.S. are blatantly breaching international rules. The lecture introduces the Japanese vision of the Free and Open Indo-Pacific and discusses how our countries must collaborate to build a regional order in which rule of law prevails and safety of the sea lines of communication is secured. A key concept in this endeavour is human security. Human security should serve as a banner under which all nations unite.

We are honoured to welcome Professor Akio Takahara, Professor Emeritus, University of Tokyo, to deliver this JICA Chair Lecture.
