Launched through a strategic partnership with the United Nations University, JSIA has partnered with universities, think tanks, and research centres around the world.

International Collaborations

JSIA offers student exchanges and collaborative degree programs for BA and MA students, as well as opportunities to intern at leading think tanks.

Under the student exchange program, BA and MA students spend 1-2 semesters at a partner university. Tuition is paid at JGU and board and lodging at the partner university. These programs provide students with a great opportunity to live in a new country, try out new courses, and meet new people. The program is attractive also because of its affordability – students get a taste of an international education while paying tuition at JGU.

Under the collaborative degree program, students spend 1 year at a partner university, and earn a degree from the partner university as well. At the end of two years, students graduate with two degrees. Tuition and Board and Lodging are to be paid at the partner university, though scholarships opportunities are available as well.

JSIA provides students with the opportunity to learn from world-renowned faculty from prestigious international institutions. Students can avail of the following kinds of study abroad opportunities:

Semester Exchange : The student spends a semester at a partner University, while paying tuition only at JSIA. JSIA has semester exchange collaborations with some of the top schools in international affairs. These include Hebrew University, Israel; University of Basel, Switzerland; National Chengchi University, Taiwan; Tsinghua University, China; University of Peace, Costa Rica; Deakin University, Australia; University of Guelph, Canada; and many others. This opportunity is available to both M.A. and B.A. students.

Dual Degree : The student completes one year of the M.A. (DLB) programme at JSIA and the second year at a partner University. B.A. students opting for a dual degree spend their first two years at JSIA and transfer to our partner university for the last two years. At the end of their time, they earn a degree from both institutions. Students have the option of studying at Queen Mary University of London, the U.K.; University of Birmingham, the U.K.; Geneva School of Diplomacy, Switzerland; University of Leeds, the U.K.; the University of Edinburgh to earn a dual degree.

Short Term Study Abroad Programmes : Students can opt for summer schools at the University of Oxford, the U.K., and the Fletcher School at the University of Tufts, the USA. This opportunity is available to both M.A. and B.A. students.
