Biography

Josephine Liu is a language lover, travel lover, and culture lover. She is also a specialist in intercultural communication. All her students come from different countries and variety cultures, and she knows how to deal with students’ language problems via his/her cultural backgrounds.

She has a master’s in Applied Linguistics, and presented poster papers on Chinese Linguists. Her master thesis is an ethnographic study on the intercultural communication competence of migrant workers in Taiwan. She studied in the Department of Southeast Asian in her Ph.D. Her field is in Northeastern Thailand (ISAN area), and usually goes to the border between Thailand and Laos, and Myanmar. She got the scholarships from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Taiwan, R. O. C. and the scholarship from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand.
