About the Resource person: Dr. Atul Saini is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography, Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University at Dr. BGR Campus, Pauri. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Geography from University of Delhi (Year: 2010), a Master’s degree in Geography from University of Delhi (Year: 2012), and a Ph.D. in Geography from University of Delhi (Year: 2021) with a specialization in Indian Summer Monsoon and Climate Change. He was a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Institution of Eminence, University of Delhi for 2 years and also did research as part of climate modelling research project in IIT Delhi. His research interests include climate change, monsoon variability, climate teleconnection, extreme events and seasonal shifting. He has published 32 research papers, 25 research papers in SCOPUS Indexed journals (H-Index: 10), presented at 17 national and multiple international conferences, and contributed to 03 book chapters. He has also been involved in research projects. He has 4 years of teaching and research experience and has taught courses like Remote Sensing & GIS, Climatology, Research Techniques and Methodology, Geography of India and Resource Geography. He has also contributed to academic administration as a resource person, trainer, and invited speaker at various institutions and conferences. He was awarded UGC–NET (JRF) in 2015 and UGC-NET (SRF) in 2018 and has memberships in various academic and professional organizations. He continues to actively contribute to research, teaching, and academic development.
