Biography

Dr. Anuj Sharma is a Lecturer at the Jindal School of Environment and Sustainability, O.P. Jindal Global University, Sonipat.
He holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Science and Engineering from Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar, Haryana where his doctoral research focused on the “Sequestration of Textile Dyes from Wastewater using Algal Nanoparticles.” His research interests include environmental remediation, wastewater treatment, algal nanoparticles, green nanotechnology, vermicomposting, and sustainable waste management.

Dr. Sharma completed his M.Sc. in Environmental Science from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, Haryana with 88.80% and his B.Sc. (Hons.) in Zoology from Ramjas College, University of Delhi, with an 8.0 CGPA. During his M.Sc., he worked on a ₹1 lakh project titled “Judicious Use of Organic Waste from KUK Campus to Form Vermicompost: An Economic and Commercial Approach.”

He has qualified UGC NET-JRF in Environmental Science, GATE in Environmental Science and Engineering, GATE in Ecology and Evolution (AIR 123), and ICAR-NET in Environmental Science. He was also awarded the AICTE Doctorate Fellowship. His research has resulted in publications in international journals and book chapters with leading academic publishers. He currently has an h-index of 10 and an i10-index of 10.

Before joining JGU, Dr. Sharma worked as a Senior Project Associate at the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), New Delhi, contributing to pollution inventorization, assessment, and surveillance under the National Mission for Clean Ganga. Earlier in his career, he worked for one year as an Assistant Professor at I.T.S Engineering College, Greater Noida, where he taught Environmental Science to undergraduate students. He also serves as a peer reviewer for several international journals in environmental science and related disciplines.
