Prof. Alok Pandey is Professor & Vice Dean at Jindal School of Banking & Finance (JSBF) at O.P. Jindal Global University (Institution of Eminence, Ministry of Education Govt. of India). An expert in Finance & Financial Markets, he is a board level professional with over twenty-five years of experience in industry, institutions of Govt. of India and top ranked business schools. Apart from his current academic position as a Professor and Vice Dean at JSBF-JGU, he is an Independent Director at CSC e-Governance India Ltd, Chairperson of the Index Advisory Committee at Multi Commodity Exchange of India Ltd. and a Member of the Committee of Advanced Studies & Research (CASR) of the Faculty of Management Studies & Research at Aligarh Muslim University. For over two decades, he has taught Corporate Finance, International Finance, Derivatives, and Investments, as a full-time faculty member, at Institute of Management Technology (IMT)-Ghaziabad, National Institute of Financial Management (NIFM)-Faridabad (Ministry of Finance, Govt. of India) and Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management (LBSIM)-Delhi. He has also taught at IIM-Lucknow, IIFT-New Delhi, and Goa Institute of Management-Goa as an adjunct faculty, and has been associated with ICAI, ICSI, AMU, DU, DTU, AIMA and several other academic and professional bodies as an external expert, over the years. As an academic administrator, he has served as the Programme & Placements Chairperson at IMT Ghaziabad, Member Secretary of Academic Advisory Body and Chairperson of Finance Area at LBSIM-Delhi, Director & CEO at the Institute of Management Studies (IMS)-Ghaziabad, as Director-Advance Studies at the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (a statutory body under an Act of Parliament) Prior to joining his current position he was serving as the Dean-School of Management at GD Goenka University, Haryana. At GD Goenka University he also served as a member of the Board of Management, Academic Council and University Research and Innovation Council. He has supervised research scholars for Ph.D. level work and has extensive experience in guiding MBA students of top B-Schools for the master’s dissertation. His research articles have been published in ABDC listed and Scopus indexed journals and he has also written for trade journals and national newspapers. He has presented his work at several premier institutions in India and other countries and his books have been published by renowned international publishers such as Pearson Education, Mc-Graw Hill Education and Macmillan Education. He is regularly invited as a speaker at national & international conferences and has delivered over 50 invited talks, till date. He is a music and literature buff with a keen interest in biographies and business history.

As the Chairperson of the Index Advisory Committee (IAdC) of India’s largest Commodity Exchange, the Multi Commodity Exchange of India Ltd. (MCX), for the last four years he has worked with senior management team of MCX for designing and rolling out the i-COMDEX series of indices and has overseen the launch and management of new sectoral indices in commodities and energy derivatives.
  • Alok Pandey was a Member- Committee on Education, Confederation of Indian Industry in 2019-20 and was the Chairman of Content Committee for ‘Udyam Abhilasha’ Project which was a joint initiative of SIDBI with Govt. of India in 2018 for promoting entrepreneurship in 115 aspirational districts of India. He has also been awarded as an ‘Outstanding Faculty Advisor’ by the CFA Institute USA in 2019. He has also received training in AACSB accreditation at India and Japan and has travelled widely in India and several countries.
