Biography

Mayank Gangwani is a Lecturer at the Jindal School of Banking & Finance (JSBF), O.P. Jindal Global University, Haryana, India. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Finance from the Department of Management Studies, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi. Prior to joining JSBF, he worked as an Assistant Professor in Finance at the International School of Business & Media (ISB&M), Bangalore, where he taught course on International Financial Management.

His doctoral research focuses on the intersection of sustainability disclosure, ESG performance, and bank stability, with a particular emphasis on emerging markets. During his doctoral program, he has been actively involved in academic responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant at IIT Delhi.

Mayank’s research has been published in reputed peer-reviewed journals, including Business Strategy and the Environment (ABDC–A, Q1), Journal of Financial Crime (ABDC–B), and the Journal of Business, Entrepreneurship and Development (Scopus Q2). He also serves as a reviewer for several international journals, such as Applied Economics, Journal of Financial Regulation and Compliance, and Journal of International Financial Management and Accounting.

He has presented his research at several prestigious international conferences, including the Finance & Accounting Research Symposium (London), the 2025 Annual Southwestern Finance Association Conference (Texas, USA), the Vietnam Symposium on Entrepreneurship, and the ORSI Annual Convention at IIT Bombay. His research paper received the Best Paper Award in the Finance & Accounting Track at the 20th International Research Conference on Management and Finance (IRCMF), University of Colombo, 2025.

Prior to his doctoral studies, Mayank earned a Master of Commerce (M.Com) from Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), University of Delhi, and a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com Hons.) from Hindu College, University of Delhi. He qualified the UGC-NET JRF examination in 2018 with a percentile score of 98.33 and is a recipient of IIT Delhi’s Research Scholars Travel Award and Research Excellence Travel Award.
