Priyam Mendiratta is a lecturer in finance at the Jindal School of Banking & Finance, O.P. Jindal Global University. She completed her undergraduate degree in 2014 and master’s degree in 2016 from University of Delhi. Thereafter, she served as a faculty member from 2016 to 2019 at the School of Business Studies, Sharda University, Greater Noida. Simultaneously, she qualified Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level I (June 2018) and Level II (June 2019) on scholarship provided by the CFA Institute, Virginia, United States. In December 2019, she joined the Ph.D. program at the Department of Management Studies, IIT Delhi. The title of her thesis is “Earnings Management and Capital Structure Decisions in Emerging Economies”. She also worked as a research assistant for the project titled “Technical Textile Industry in India: Opportunities and Challenges” sponsored by the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India (GoI) undertaken at IIT Delhi.
Her broad research interests lie in the area of Corporate Finance, Corporate Governance, Ethics, Risk Management, and FinTech. She has published papers in Scopus and ABDC-indexed journals. Further, she has presented her work at several national and international conferences organized by prominent institutions. She also visited University of Huddersfield, United Kingdom in June 2024 as a part of a research exchange initiative at IIT Delhi.
Awarded the Research Excellence Travel Award (RETA) by the Industrial Research and Development (IRD) unit of the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi for presenting papers at international conferences (amounting to Rs. 2,00,000) in 2024.
Awarded the Research Scholar Travel Award (RSTA) by the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi for presenting papers at international conferences (amounting to Rs. 1,50,000) in 2022.
