Rupesh Sharma is an Assistant Professor in the Jindal School of Banking & Finance at O. P. Jindal Global University, where he teaches Financial Management, Investment Banking, Audit & Assurance, and Financial Analytics across the School's undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Professor Sharma received his PhD in Finance and Accounting from the Indian Institute of Management, Tiruchirappalli, and holds a Master of Commerce and a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from the University of Delhi. In 2013, he qualified for the University Grants Commission's Junior Research Fellowship. Professor Sharma's research examines financial intermediation, with particular attention to the sectoral allocation of bank credit, credit risk and bank performance, and financial inclusion. His work has appeared in ABDC-ranked journals and in edited volumes on management. Further, he has presented at finance and banking conferences in India and internationally. In 2019, he received the Best Paper Award at the Financial Market and Corporate Governance Conference in Sydney. Alongside his research and teaching, Professor Sharma serves as Co-Chair of the Centre for Digital Learning and as Programme Coordinator for the M.Sc. in International Accounting & Finance. He has delivered corporate training for JBM Auto and served as guest faculty at IIM Sirmaur and the Academy of HRD, Ahmedabad. In 2025, he completed a four-day faculty development program at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
