Jannet was a postdoctoral researcher at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), Germany, prior to joining JSBF. She has received her Ph.D. in the Food and Agribusiness area from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA). During her Ph.D., she was affiliated as a research scholar with ICRISAT, Hyderabad on a project funded by FORMAS (Swedish government research council).
Jannet is an applied economist, and her research interests lie in areas of Institutional Economics, Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems and Development policy analysis
Prior to joining PhD, Jannet was a visiting lecturer in Economics at Ahmedabad University. She also has experience working for Goldman Sachs, Bangalore as an analyst in the Asset Management Division.
