Discover the many possibilities of a career in the built environment.
This unique programme at JSAA is divided into two parts: the Major and the Minor. In the Major, students learn about materials and making, about design thinking. They explore the social, historical, political, economic, and technological interfaces of architecture, and also get to collaborate with students from some of the best architecture schools globally. The Minor areas of study are carefully designed to provide students with additional skillsets and help them develop abilities that can be applied across industries and sectors.

Critical thinking, research, and practice are integral to the curriculum. Students are trained to think and link various disciplinary approaches to tackle complexities that characterise built environments. They learn to challenge disciplinary divides and develop expansive approaches to problem solving and conducting research.
With
10 minors we have
60+ combinations with over
700 courses from across the university.
Learn through observation, documentation, and action. Cities, villages, sites, and studios are where students learn and gather practical experience in problem solving. Here they learn how to improvise, theorise practices, and practice theories in real-life situations.
JSAA has collaborations with top design and architecture colleges around the world.
Students of the Bachelor of Architecture programme enjoy access to a state-of-the-art tech-equipped facility to gain hands-on knowledge of design and architecture. The facility comprises a cutting-edge Digital Centre, a Virtual Environment Lab, a Foundation Studio, and Environment Research Lab, a Construction Yard and Lab, and a Fabrication Lab.
By experimenting and applying classroom learning to real-world environments, students are able to test theories, explore new ideas, and get an in-depth feel of design and architecture.
No candidate shall be admitted to an architecture course unless she/he has passed an examination at the end of the 10+2 scheme of examination with at least 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics, and also at least 50% marks in aggregate of the 10+2 level examination or passed 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as a compulsory subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
