Biography

Dr. Pawanesh specializes in Applied Mathematics, Complex Network Modelling, Statistical Analysis, Machine Learning Applications, and Hyperbolic Geometry–based Network Analysis. He earned his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence (Delhi–NCR), following his M.Sc. in Mathematics from Jamia Millia Islamia University. His doctoral research, titled “Analyzing Financial Markets Through Network Structures in Hyperbolic Spaces,” models financial markets as complex networks and explores their underlying topological and geometric structures using advanced machine learning and hyperbolic geometry techniques. His work demonstrates how the core–periphery structure in hyperbolic networks naturally emerges from the metric and curvature properties of hyperbolic space.

Dr. Pawanesh’s research has been published in leading international journals such as Journal of Complex Networks, Soft Computing, Physica A, and Physical Review E. One of his studies was also featured in Shaastra Magazine (IIT Madras) for its innovative contribution to understanding financial markets through the lens of network geometry. He has presented his research at several international conferences in India and abroad. He has been the recipient of the prestigious CSIR Junior and Senior Research Fellowships.

Dr. Pawanesh served as a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Mathematics at the Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence. In this role, he supported undergraduate instruction by conducting tutorials, assisting in lectures, evaluating assignments, and facilitating collaborative learning among students. Dr. Pawanesh is committed to advancing interdisciplinary research and education that bridge Applied Mathematics and Data Science, driving innovative solutions to complex real-world challenges.
