Biography

Tahiba Banu is an accomplished academician, researcher, and grassroots enthusiast with over a decade of experience spanning teaching, research, and community engagement. She holds an M.Phil. and MA in Sociology from the Delhi School of Economics and has taught at prestigious institutions such as Lady Shri Ram College for Women and Miranda House, University of Delhi. Her work focuses on topics like economic sociology, caste, labour, gender and violence, and social movements. Tahiba has also contributed significantly to curriculum development, research supervision, and community-based literacy programs. Her publications explore Dalit representation and the interplay between ethnography and autobiography, reflecting her commitment to social change and academic excellence.
