Professor (Dr.) Jennie Shaw is Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President (Academic) at the University of Adelaide, Australia where she oversees all undergraduate and postgraduate (course work) student matters, from enrolment to graduation, as well as teaching curriculum, quality and excellence. Previous roles include that of Executive Dean, Faculty of Arts, University of Adelaide, Pro Vice-Chancellor and Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at the University of New England, inaugural Director of Arts New England - UNE Centre for Research and Innovation in the Arts, and Associate Dean and Head of School at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, University of Sydney. Jennie has undergraduate qualifications in music (BA first class honours and university medal) and in law (LLB first class honours) from the University of Sydney, Australia, and postgraduate awards (MA and PhD) from Stony Brook University, USA. She sits on a number of advisory and governing boards in Australia and is responsible for the sustainability education ‘pillar’ under the University of Adelaide’s Here for Good sustainability policy.
