Professor (Dr.) V.C. Vivekanandan serves as the Vice Chancellor of Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur and Vice President of the Consortium of National Law Universities of India. He has also served as the Dean of Rajiv Gandhi School of IP Law, IIT KGP, & Bennett University, Director of NALSAR Proximate Education, and founder Director of Legal Institute of India. He was actively involved in policy negotiations at WIPO Geneva as Government of India representative between 2013-2015 and was an elected member of the ALAC and NOMCOM at ICANN. He was a researcher at Maastricht Law School and Institute of Intellectual Property at TOKYO. Prof. Vivekanandan teaches IP laws, Internet Laws and Corporate Laws and serves as the Adjunct Visiting Professor with the Business School of the SUNY, Buffalo. He serves as the Jury of the CII Innovation awards committee since 2015. He was bestowed with the the Innovation in Legal Teaching by Society of Indian Law Firms (SILF) and MILAT in 2017, and the Honorary Mention by the Forbes Magazine in 2023 and His leadership at HNLU received the Times Ascent Skill Development Leadership Award 2023 at the World HR Summit, Mumbai and the Best Emerging Higher Education Institute Award of BW Super 30 in 2023. His non-law interests are Cinema, Music and Gardening.
