Professor (Dr.) Shekhar Tokas is an Assistant Professor at the School of Global Affairs and Deputy Dean, International Affairs Division, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University, Delhi. He has a doctorate in economics of education from Jawaharlal Nehru University. His research engagement primarily focuses on international student mobility to India and internationalization of higher education in India. His recent work includes an independent research project on Mapping of Internationalization of Higher Education in Delhi NCR. Dr. Tokas is also the co-director of a major project granted by the Indian Council for Social Science Research, Government of India (2023-2025) on ‘Motivations and Experiences of International Students: An Evidence-Based Approach to Internationalization of Indian Higher Education’ in collaboration with O.P. Jindal Global University, India, and Monash University, Australia.
