Mx. Adam Herpolsheimer is a Law and Policy Analyst at the Policy Surveillance Program at Temple University’s Beasley School of Law Center for Public Health Law Research. Mx. Herpolsheimer is tasked with research and analysis of laws on several subjects pertaining to public health. They then turn that research and analysis into coded questions for the creation of legal datasets on LawAtlas.org.
In addition to their work in the Policy Surveillance Program, Mx. Herpolsheimer teaches various courses at Temple—from Public Health Law to Law and Popular Culture. They have embarked on their doctoral studied at Temple as well, where they research the intersections between feminist theory, religion, and the formation of
transgender identities. Mx. Herpolsheimer recently published an article in Foucault Studies titled “Plague, Foucault, Camus” that situates the work of both philosophers on absurdity, governmentality, and truth all within the context of plague/COVID-19. Mx. Herpolsheimer has two miniature dachshunds, lives in Philadelphia, and plays softball four nights a week.
