Mr. Phalgun Kompalli is the Co-Founder of UpGrad and currently heads their operations in the US. He splits his time between their New York & Mumbai offices. UpGrad is a leading online higher education learning platform that works with universities to help them with design, development & delivery of online programs. upGrad has 50+ university partnerships like Duke, University of Arizona, Golden Gate University, Liverpool John Moores, IIT Madras etc. UpGrad has 5M+ individuals, including 50,000+ paid learners and runs some of the largest online Masters & Doctorate programs globally. UpGrad has raised $300M in venture capital at a valuation of ~$2.25 billion from global investors like Temasek, IFC World Bank, ETS Global etc. The company is using these funds to expand their team of - 7,600 employees across 12 global offices, 170 full-time faculty members, 1,600 teachers, and over 5,000 on-contract coaches and mentors. Phalgun Kompalli was also part of the Forbes 30 under 30 Asia list 2018 and Business World 40 Under 40 list in 2020. Prior to UpGrad, Phalgun was a Principal at The Parthenon Group, an education strategy-consulting firm, where he was involved in advising large education conglomerates and investment funds on their growth and investment strategy in education. Phalgun has done significant work in the field of higher education and technology enabled learning across India, US, Middle Eat, Brazil, Africa and South East Asia. Phalgun completed his Bachelors in Technology from IIT Delhi
