Mr. Aditya Malkani is Regional Director, Membership – Asia Pacific at The Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), and is the senior representative for the ACU in the region. Aditya has responsibility for developing ACU’s regional work, building presence and engagement across the Commonwealth, in pursuit of membership, policy, positioning and business development objectives. He is responsible for the delivery of the ‘regional engagement’ pillar of the membership strategy, supported by a globally located regional engagement team. Aditya represents the ACU externally as a key senior spokesperson for the organisation on a range of topics. Prior to joining the ACU, Aditya was India Country Head for King’s College London, responsible for implementing the university’s strategy in India. While at King’s Aditya supported the development of the King’s India Summer Schools, which provided exposure to Indian students to summer school courses taught in-person by King’s academics, delivered at partner institutions in Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore. Aditya has been an education sector professional for 14 years, and speaks regularly on issues relating to higher education and the crucial role played by universities in enabling international cooperation. He is based in Mumbai, India, where he lives with his family.
