The Office of the Dean of Research is a centralized university level office established to facilitate research among the various schools and institutes of JGU. The three primary focus areas of the Office are: Publications, Grants and Projects. 

The pursuance of a global research agenda lies at the centre of our goal to build a world-class institution of learning. Faculty research at JGU has been encouraged through five important and interrelated initiatives.

The University’s Research Grants Policy is aimed at promoting a rigorous research culture, supporting knowledge creation, and undertaking socially-relevant research. The JGU Research Grants Committee administers the award of short, medium, and long term grants to faculty members.

The raison d’être for a university is its students. With our student-centred approach to teaching and learning, the University has consciously encouraged experiential learning in the delivery of its programmes.
