Alexandros Alexandrou

PhD Candidate, Queen Mary University of London

Alexandros Alexandrou is a PhD Candidate at Queen Mary University of London in the field of Intellectual Property Law. Alexandros graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor of Laws LLB Hons from Lancaster University, obtained an LLM degree in Intellectual Property Law with Distinction from the University of Leeds in 2017 and took part in the Pan-European Seal Traineeship at the European Union Intellectual Property Office in 2018. His research interests include User Generated Content, Successive Works and the general impact of Copyright within the Interactive Entertainment Industry.

Micheal Dunford

PhD Candidate, Queen Mary University of London

Mr. Dunford completed his JD at the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa’s William S Richardson School of Law in 2015, obtained an LLM degree in Comparative and International Dispute Resolution with Distinction from Queen Mary University of London in 2016 and a MA (Law by Research) degree in Intellectual Property with Distinction from Queen Mary University of London in 2017. His long-term research interests include further study of the role and impact of copyright law on fandoms and other interest-based communities. Mr. Dunford is working on his thesis entitled “The Fanworks Problem After Twenty Years: A Critical Re-Assessment”under the supervision of Dr. Gaetano Dimita and Prof. Gavin Sutter.

Salvatore Fasciana

PhD Candidate at Queen Mary University of London

Mr.Salvatore is a full-time PhD student at Queen Mary, University of London and of counsel for VGS lawyers, an Italian Law firm based in Milan and London, for privacy and GDPR sectors. After his Italian master degree and his Training Contract, he completed his LLM in Media Law at Queen Mary, University of London investigating topics related to Interactive Entertainment such as: "loot boxes and video game" or "Youtube Video game play as derivative works".
