The Jindal School of Public Health & Human Development (JSPH) held an online expert talk by Dr. Deepak B. Saxena, Director of the Indian Institute of Public Health Gandhinagar. He will speak on “From Theory to Practice: Interventional Studies in the Global South – The Indian Experience”.

Dr. Saxena brings over 25 years of experience in public health, focusing on emerging infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance, One Health, and Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH). He leads multiple key initiatives including the Techno Business Incubation Centre (NIDHI-TBI) and the Centre for Research on One Health Education and Research (COHERD). With around 175 peer-reviewed publications and patents, his work spans public health innovation, health systems, and health technology assessments. Dr. Saxena also serves on advisory groups at WHO and the Indian Council of Medical Research.
