Priyamvada Singh is an Assistant Lecturer at the Jindal School of Public Health and Human Development (JSPH), O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU). Her academic interests lie in the areas of mental health, ageing, gender, and social determinants of health, with a focus on understanding the cultural and structural contexts shaping psychological wellbeing. She has worked with qualitative research methods exploring narratives of ageing, gender, and distress in urban Delhi-NCR, as part of her dissertation work.
She has previously worked as a research intern at the National Institute of Health and Family Welfare (NIHFW) and the Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences (IHBAS) contributing to projects on geriatric mental health, psychiatric care, experiences of mental illness and care provision. Her experience spans qualitative research, ethnographic fieldwork, and synthesis of evidence for policy and practice. She aims to contribute to interdisciplinary research in mental health through a public health perspective, integrating insights from psychology, community health, and social sciences.
