We are delighted to announce that the eighth Undergraduate Research Conference of the Jindal School of Liberal Arts and Humanities will be held on 4th and 5th of April, 2025 at O.P. Jindal Global University, Sonipat. This marks the continued success of our conferences from 2017 to 2024.
Conference Registration/Travel Allowances:
There is no registration fee for the conference. O.P. Jindal Global University will not be able to provide housing but arrange local transport for students within Delhi- NCR to bring them to campus from the nearest metro stations and back.
In 2017, The Jindal School of Liberal Arts and Humanities launched the Undergraduate Research Conference (URC) in order to foster and reward the scholarly efforts of undergraduate students as well as to provide a valuable learning experience. It was a leap of faith as it was the first forum of its kind in India but through the years, our belief in the potential of undergraduate research has been richly rewarded as participants from more than 50 institutions across India have participated.
The URC puts a strong emphasis on promoting interdisciplinary studies that build connections between social sciences and humanities disciplines, helping young scholars imagine innovative projects that explore the full potential of a liberal arts education.
In 2024, the URC’s theme was Crises, Innovation and Transformation: Liberal Arts & Humanities in an Evolving Context. This led to a wide range of research being showcased, drawing from economics, business studies, literature, sciences, history, sociology, anthropology, psychology, political science, visual studies, performance studies, film studies and more.
Through this flagship initiative, JSLH is proud to have created a unique network of undergraduate scholars, faculty mentors and experts of various fields. Students have had the opportunity not just to gain experience in public speaking and communication of their ideas but also to disseminate their ideas to a wider audience.
